RoHS, also known as Lead-Free, stands for Restriction of Hazardous Substances. RoHS Directive 2002/95/EC restricts the use of six hazardous materials found in electrical and electronic products. All applicable products in the EU market after July 1, 2006 must pass RoHS compliance. RoHS impacts the entire electronics industry

Teck & Guan Metal Finishing Sdn Bhd (TGMF) has a long history of concern for environmental protection and strives to stay abreast of all environmental regulations that relate to our industry. This document is intended to inform our customers about TGMF’s ability to provide electroplated finishes which are RoHS compliant.

Teck & Guan Metal Finishing Sdn Bhd declares that lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls, polybrominated diphenyl ethers, pentabromodiphenyl ether and octabromodiphenyl ether are not intentionally added to the following plating finishes:

Copper
Ebonol
Electrolytic Nickel
Pure Bright Tin
Pure Matte Tin
Mid Phos Electroless Nickel (6-8% P)
Hi Phos Electroless Nickel (9-12%P)
Silver
Platinum
Rhodium
Hard Gold (ASTM Type I, II)
Soft Gold (ASTM Type III)

To the best of our knowledge, none of our chemical or plating bath suppliers use these banned substances in their products and TGMF does not intentionally add these banned substances to their plating solutions, with the exception of those noted above. Please note that TGMF and its suppliers do not analyze its products for substances not purposely added. Trace amounts of any chemical and substance may be found as impurities in any product. This certification is subject to change without notice

TGMF already started to source for alternative material since years 2004.EMS. We have setup environment management system to control and monitor on material chemicals with good traceability control on material use.

Environment preservation associated with ISO 14001, waste treatment and proper waste sludge disposal, scrubbing system, RO water system

We plan to recycle used water in near future.
